It’s amazing what you can do with a 16 hour period. On Wednesday I did something I thought I’d never do. I drove to Boston, Mass, spoke at the Olivia Browning Store, and drove back – all in one day. Yes, folks, that’s 5.5 (Ok, 6) hours up and 5.5 hours back. Talk about commitment to new moms!
It sounds crazy, I know, but I had an ace in the whole. My Mom was with me so the trip was great. I mean, when was the last time I got to spend 16 of uninterrupted time with Mom? Probably when I was in womb, right? We talked the entire time. Literally. On the way home she aimed question after question at me to keep me talking and awake. We arrived back in PA at 2:16 am ahead of the latest big snow storm safe and sound!
Here is a picture of me at the event at the Olivia Browning store – my mom took the footage. The owner, Abbe Gray, was very gracious and made us feel right at home. The shop, if you are ever in Charlestown, is absolutely gorgeous. Check it out and say hello to Abby when you get there. Also, check the Olivia Browning website for events with other authors, it’s a good time and great shopping.
